Winner: Burtree Puddings – Sticky Toffee Pudding with Sticky Toffee Sauce

Robert and Lea Darling have been making their award winning luxury puddings from their house near Darlington for many year’s catering for their client’s sweet tooth with their delicious home made products.

New for the 2015 Taste Awards, the ‘Free From’ category attracted a vast array of entries catering for specialist dietary needs such as gluten free and dairy free etc.

The judges were blown away by Burtree’s Sticky Toffee Pudding with Sticky Toffee Sauce noting that its lovely rich and treacly texture and fantastic balance of flavours made the product a stand out in the category. They said: “this product is truly delicious and indulgent. A perfect balance of light sponge and sauce – this is a pudding and a half!”
